President Draupadi Murmu whose three-day visit began today on May 24 morning when she landed by the Special Extra Section Flight operated by the Indian Airforce.

President Murmu was greeted by Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan at the Deoghar airport. After handing over a bouquet of flowers, they moved in a cavalcade to Babadham temple in Deoghar. 

All along the roadsides, hundreds of people showered flowers welcoming President Murmu. Then, after reaching the Babadham, President Murmu offered prayers inside the Bhagwan Shiv, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

Draupadi Murmu became the second President of India to offer puja at Baba, the first being President Pranab Mukherjee who offered prayers there on April 2, 2017.

President Murmu is now gearing up to fly to Ranchi where she will rest at the Rajbhawan. And in the evening, she is scheduled to unveil the new building of the Jharkhand High Court.
