When more than 261 people were killed and around 900 were injured in a horrific three-train collision in Odisha's Balasore on Friday evening, three of the injured passengers were from Godda in Jharkhand.

All three who hailed from Mordiha village under Thakurgangti block in Godda, were going to Chennai in search of jobs.

They were identified as Mithun Pandit(30)Rajiv Pandit(27)and Mukesh Pandit( 35), They were reportedly rescued injured from inside the toppled bogey of the train and admitted at a hospital in Balasore.

Reports claim that Mithun, Rajiv, and Mukesh had got head injuries.

Mukesh Pandit had used the HelpLine number to talk to his relatives in Mordiha village, Godda.” I have got ten stitches on my head”, he is learnt to have told his relative on the phone.

The relatives have demanded that they should be brought to Jharkhand and treated well.” This is because the number of injured exceeds 900, and all of them can not get proper Medicare there.”
