Two weeks after the Jharkhand government launched ‘Mission Cashless Jharkhand’, an ambitious plan to ensure at least one block in each of the state’s 24 districts shifts entirely to cashless transactions by December 28,the Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Tuesdayaddressed mediapersons in Ranchi.

‘Mission Cashless Jharkhand’ is an ambitious plan to ensure at least one block in each of the state’s 24 districts shifts entirely to cashless transactions by December 28.The task is difficult to achieve since a vast population of the state reside in rural areas, each lacking electricity and Internet connection.
Moreover, the farmers lacked smart phones, knowledge and expertise to use cashless transaction system.
