Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has fulfilled the dream of Late JMM leader Jagarnath Mahto. He is inaugurating a hospital and college in Nawadih in the Bermo subdivision of the Bokaro district.
The inauguration is slated to take place on Thursday.
The 50 bed hospital is being built by the state government in Kanchanpur village near Nawadih.
Alongside the college is billed as model educational institution. It’s construction cost is nearly Rs 26 crore.
The plan of this school was the brain child of late JMM leader and Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto. After his death on April 6, his wife Babi Devi was nominated as his successor by the CM Soren and thereby she took charge as Education Minister on July 3.
By appointing her as education Minister and now inaugurating the hospital and school planned by late Mahto, the CM Soren appears to be playing emotional card to woo Mahtos, an OBC caste who constitutes an overwhelming section of electorates in north and south Chotanagpur divisions in Jharkhand.
The inaugural function is scheduled to take place in a mega format. While the stage of the pandal spread over 56 feet long and 24 feet wide, it length is 110 feet and width is 40 feet. The arrangement is being made by the Bokaro district administration.
All out efforts are being made by the district administration and JMM workers to mobilise people for the inaugural event,it is learnt.
