The encounter between security forces and Naxals in Jharkhand’s Chaibasa has taken place in a forest area falling under Tonto police station, reports reaching Ranchi said pre-noon on Friday.

The security forces and the Jharkhand police are reported to have come close to locating and nabbing the veteran Maoist leader Misir Besra who carries on his head Rs one crore award.

The encounter had reportedly caused injury to a jawan of the CRPF 60 Battalion.
