After Supreme Court rejecting plea to hear him in New Delhi, ED court in Ranchi gave a shocker to ex CM Hemant Soren. 

The PMLA court has granted the ED to keep Hemant Soren in its custody to question him for five days in the land scam case. 

This was in response to the ED’s plea to provide 10-day remand to Soren. This means, ex CM Soren will be taken out of Birsa Munda jail to grill him for five days under its custody. 

 The ED wants to question him under custody to examine the “sources” of funds/property by which the proceeds of crime have been acquired and also to ascertain the role of other persons involved with Hemant Soren.
