On Friday, the country woke up to the horrific news of a Spanish woman biker being gang-raped and then robbed in Dumka. On Sunday,one Orchestra dancer from Chhattisgarh was gang raped in Palamau. 

Two accused were arrested by the police. Palamau SP Reeshma Ramesan informed media persons that raids were being carried to arrest other accused of the gang rape case. 

The arrest of two accused was made on grounds of information provided by the rape victim.They were identified as Ajay Kumar and Bindeshwar Kumar.The third accused Golu was still at large.

Ajay and Kumar were residents of Bishrampur block in Palamau. Reports indicate that one Orchestra team from Chhattisgarh was performing musical event at Hussainabad, a few kms from Bidhrampur in Palamau district of Jharkhand.

After the musical and dance programme ended, the artists were returning. One of the Orchestra artist was caught, made to drink intoxicant.

In a state of intoxication, she was gang raped. And left left her along the road side and fled. On Sunday, unidentified persons took her to hospital in Daltongunj.

After she gained consciousness, she made public that she was gang raped by three persons.The police filed FIR against them. 

Though the third accused is yet to be arrested, the police succeeded in nabbing Ajay and Binedshwar. The victim of gang rape was undergoing treatment in Palamau hospital, informed Bidhrampur police station Incharge Pradeep Sharma.
