BJP candidate Geeta Koda looked elated after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally ‘Maha Vijay Sankalp Sabha’ in Chaibasa in Jharkhand. 

While addressing this ‘Maha Vijay Sankalp Sabha’PM Modi spoke in length about the pro- Adivasi development initiatives of his government during the past decade and appealed to people to vote for Geeta Koda. “ 

His presence and speech has galvanised the Adivasi and non Adivasi communities”, said Geeta Koda who had quit Congress party and joined the BJP. In 2018, she had contested the LS polls on the ticket of the grand old party. In 2024, she is contesting the same Singhbhum seat on the BJP ticket. 

PM Modi spike in scorching hot weather at around 3 pm and sought votes for party candidates in two Lok Sabha constituenciesSinghbhum and Khunti where Union Minister Arjun Munda is trying to retain the seat. Both Singhbhum and Khunti are scheduled tribe (ST) reserved seats. 

After the rally, the PM is scheduled to arrive at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport in the evening and will undertake a roadshow till Raj Bhawan amid heavy security deployment. 

During the roadshow, BJP workers, leaders and common citizens will greet him at various locations along the route, including Hinoo Chowk, Birsa Chowk, DPS Chowk, Argora Chowk, BJP headquarter, Harmu Chowk, Sahajanand Chowk and Kartik Oraon Chowk, a party office-bearer said.  

Security has been beefed up in view of the PM's visit. Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chandan Kumar Sinha told media persons.

"Adequate security arrangement has been ensured in view of the PM's visit. State as well as Central forces will be deployed along the route." 

The PM will stay at Raj Bhavan on Friday night. On Saturday, he is scheduled to address two election rallies for party candidates in Palamu and Lohardaga parliamentary constituencies.
