Yashaswini Sahay, the Congress candidate from Ranchi, submited her nomination papers on Monday, May 6.
She, who is daughter of senior Congress leader and Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay represents the INDI block.
The nomination procession was joined by workers and supporters of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and RJD, with flags and banners.
The procession commenced from E-39 Sector, the residence of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, at 7:30 am, traversing through various localities including Dhurwa, Sector 3, Birsa Chowk,Kishore Ganj, Harmu road,culminated at the Ranchi Collectorate Building.
Subodh Kant Sahay accompanied her while she filed her nomination papers at the Ranchi Collectorate Building.
Following this, a public meeting was held at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi, where JMM leaders and workers led their General Secretary Suprio Bhattacharya were present.
The Lok Sabha elections in Ranchi are scheduled for the sixth phase on May 25, along with Giridih, Dhanbad, and Jamshedpur parliamentary seats.
