Less than a month back, he flew to Kuwait to work there. Now, the body of Md. Ali Hussain has arrived for burial.

Ali Hussain, 22- year 22-year-old boy who is a resident of Nizam Nagar, Hindpiri, Ranchi, had gone to work as a staff in Kuwait on May 24. He was employed as a Salesman by Super Market in Kuwait. Ali’s elder brother Adil Hussain was working for the past five years in Kuwait.

“Adil had helped him get a job there”, weeps Sultan Hussain, a relative. Among the bodies of the 45 Indians is Ali Hussain who had died in a fire in Kuwait. 

They have been repatriated to India via an Indian Air Force flight that landed in Kochi on Friday. The mortal remains of many victims have been handed over to their families. 

Among the victims who died in the massive fire at a building in Kuwait’s Mangaf city, 23 are from Kerala, seven from Tamil Nadu, three from Uttar Pradesh, two from Odisha, and one each from Bihar, Punjab, Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana and Jharkhand. 

When the body of Ali lands in Ranchi, it will be ritually washed and draped before burial. The state government of Jharkhand has announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to the family of Ali Hussain. 

The state Labour Department Superintendent Walter Kujjur visited his house, met his parents, and informed them about the state government’s decision to provide them Rs 5 lakh compensation.
