The BJP high command appears to be leaving no stone unturned to oil the party machinery for the upcoming Assembly polls in 2024.

After two Co-Incharge of the state unit- Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who came and held meetings with party men, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is planning to visit Jharkhand.

Though his schedule is not announced, Amit Shah can land in Ranchi on July 20, a report quoting party sources said.

If he comes, it will be Amit Shah’s first visit after the Lok Sabha elections in which BJP failed to win even one of five schedule tribe reserve seats in Jharkhand. In any case, neutral observers are anticipating that his arrival is linked to the assembly polls.

BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Agriculture Minister Shivnath Singh Chouhan have already instructed party leaders to gear up for the polls at the district, block and booth level management.

Himanta Biswa Sarma is on his one-day visit to Jharkhand for the Jharkhand assembly elections and reacting to bail for Hemant Soren said, “Every day many people go to jail and every day many people get bail. It is not the job of BJP to account for this.”

On the question of conspiracy behind Hemant’s arrest, he said that it would have seemed right if there was no corruption in Jharkhand. Here corruption is at its peak. Criminal incidents have increased.
