Railway Protection Force(RPF) is on alert mode after its personnel removed posters and banners put up by Naxalites on railway poles along tracks between Manoharpur-Jaraikela stations under Chakradharpur railway division in Jharkhand.
The Naxals had put up their red banners and posters on the Indian railway’s poles and damaged a part of tracks between Manoharpur-Jaraikela stations under Chakradharpur railway division last night. As a result,the train traffic was disrupted for hours this morning.
The Naxalites had put up their red banners and posters on the railways’ poles number 378/35 A and 378/31A.
In a joint operation of the Jharkhand police from Manoharpur police station and Railway Protection Force, these Naxal posters and banners were removed and seized.
From available information, the Naxals had tied up their posters and banners at around 2 am on Tuesday- Wednesday night.”
They had broken the pandel clip of the track and tried to damage it to cause accident”, said a senior RPF officer.
In effect, Howrah- Hapa(22906) remained stranded on the track there from 5.47 am to 6.18 am. Another train/ Jaraikela- Tata-Alappuzha Express train remained stuck.
