Unlike West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerjee who is in Mumbai to attend  Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren is in Ranchi to distribute appointment letters to teachers.

Due to his engagement in the state, the CM is not going to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding in Mumbai, said an officer of the Chief Minister’s office. 

The CM Soren’s engagement is connected with appointment letters to 1500 Post Graduate Teachers who were appointed by the state government. 

Notably, the then CM Champai Soren was slated to distribute these appointment letters to teachers on July 3. 

But the function was suddenly canceled as the planning was afoot to enable Hemant Soren to do so as CM. This happened on July 12.

In view of the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, the distribution of appointment letters was considered more important than participating in the wedding function of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Their wedding function invitation was sent to many top political brass including Sharad Pawar, Udhav Thackeray and Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Bannerjee who used the invitation to play a political card. They are scheduled to hold a meeting in Mumbai to discuss “ current politics.” 

CM Hemant Soren preferred to keep himself away from it and geared to strengthen his government and achievements.

In any case, Ambanis represented by Reliance Industry  Associate Vice President had met CM Hemant Soren and handed over an invitation card to him on July 6. Soren had reportedly “promised” to attend the wedding function. 

The wedding of the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd, Anant Ambani, and daughter of Viren Merchant, Radhika Merchant will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on July 12. 

The wedding rituals will be performed, adhering to Hindu Vedic customs, including multiple ceremonies and star-studded events. Global sensation Justin Bieber performed at the sangeet ceremony.
