Newly selected 1500 post graduate teachers of Jharkhand were handed over appointment letters on Friday.
This is expected to fill up vacancies in the state government run plus 2 schools across the state. The appointment letters were given by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Prior to this the School Education and Literacy department had started its preparation. The then Chief Minister Champai Soren was slated to give these appointment letters to the teachers on July 4.
This event was postponed and after Hemant Soren succeeded Champai Soren as CM,the appointment letter distribution ceremony was held at Prabhat Tara ground in Dhurva from 12 noon.
State finance minister Rameshwar Oraon, labor minister Satyanand Bhokta among others attended the event.
The appointment process of 3120 plus two teachers was started in the state in the year 2022. Out of this, in the first phase, about 1000 teachers were given appointment letters in March this year.
The process of checking the certificates of newly selected teachers was completed later. Appointment letters were given to teachers of Mathematics, History, Hindi, Economics, Sanskrit, English and Commerce subjects.
