The staff of the Raj Bhawan, Odisha,Baikuntha Pradhan, has alleged that he was assaulted brutally by Lalit Kumar, the Governor Raghubar Das’s son.  

Pradhan has lodged FIR alleging that he was “brutally assaulted” by Lalit Kumar on July 7, the day President Droupadi Murmu visited Puri. 

 As per Pradhan’s FIR, the incident of crime took place at 11:45 pm on the same day.

Also, the victim of assault, has lodged complaint and addressed it to the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Akash Singh. As per reports,Governor RaghubarDas's personal chef had conveyed that Lalit Kumar wished to meet Pradhan.  

When Pradhan arrived at Lalit Kumar's room, Lalit Kumar allegedly “verbally” abused him and physically assaulted him involving “slapping, kicking and punching that lasted till 4:30 am.” 

Pradhan’s complaint detailed that how he attempted to escape and sought refuge in an annexe room, but Lalit Kumar's personal security officers forcibly brought him back. 

 The government employee alleged that Lalit Kumar threatened him, saying that no one would save him if he was killed. 

Meanwhile, Pradhan's wife Sayoj Pradhan demanded legal action against the accused over the alleged attack on her husband. ( Inputs from PTI and Indiatoday.in)
