At a time when the Supreme Court is slated to hear the NEET paper leak case today the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken the three doctors into custody.
They were being interrogated by the CBI, it is learnt.
These doctors belong to the 2021 batch of medical students at Patna AIIMS and are in custody for questioning. Their rooms in Patna-based AIIMS have been sealed and their laptops and mobile phones confiscated as part of the investigation.
The CBI indicated that it aims to unravel the intricate network involved in the leak and dissemination of the NEET paper.
As it is, the investigation has revealed that the paper was stolen from a truck carrying the exam materials.
The CBI has already apprehended Pankaj, who was responsible for this theft. Further investigation linked Pankaj to the principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh, from where the paper was passed on to Sanjeev Mukhiya.
Mukhiya then connected the paper to Rocky, who arranged for it to be solved by professional solvers.
