In a throwback to the flashpoint reached between him and the police for failing to allow his car move forward due to road jam caused by agitators on the day of Bharat bandh in Kanke road in Ranchi on August 21,Jharkhand High Court Justice Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi on Tuesday hauled up top police officers. 

These officers - DGP, Anurag Gupta,Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha, Ranchi SSP,Chandan Kumar Sinha and Ranchi SP( Traffic),Kailash Karmali, were first summoned. 

And then when they appeared before the Honourable court today, Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi pulled them up and observed that “ law and order” has “ collapsed” in the state. 

Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi managed to escape from the road jam caused by agitators. This happened after he informed the Registrar General of the high court who in turn, called up DGP and then after over half an hour, his car moved toward its destination,safely.

“In a place where the judge is not secured, the plight of common men can be just imagined”, he opined as the above police officers remained quiet. 

Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi who took suo moto cognisance of his own experience transferred the case to the court of Chief Justice for consideration.
