Jharkhand is gearing up to welcome to top functionaries- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu.
Prior to President Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jamshedpur on September 15 and flag off the Vande Bharat train.
Along with the gift of Vande Bharat train, he will deposit the first instalment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the accounts of 1 lakh 13 thousand 195 poor people.
The new services will connect Tatanagar to Patna, Deoghar to Varanasi, and Tatanagar to Berhampur (Odisha).
This expansion follows the recent inauguration of three other Vande Bharat routes linking Meerut to Lucknow, Madurai to Bengaluru, and Chennai to Nagercoil.
Patna, which already benefits from Vande Bharat connections to Ranchi, Howrah, New Jalpaiguri, and Lucknow, will see enhanced connectivity with these new additions.
After PM departs, President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Jharkhand on September 19, on a two-day visit to the state, it is learnt.
During the trip, she will visit Namkom in Ranchi-based ICAR- National Institute of Secondary Agriculture (NISA) to grace its 100th foundation day. ICAR- NISA, formerly the Indian Institute of Natural Resins and Gums, located at Namkum, Ranchi, in Jharkhand, is a unit of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
Ahead of the Assembly polls by year end, their visit is considered a significant for the BJP.
Insiders say that BJP functionaries are planning to oil the party machine by organising rally in Jamshedpur.
Even in Ranchi, the BJP state election incharge and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who will welcome the President Murmu at the airport in Ranchi and participate in the centenary function of ICAR- NISA, has already guided party leaders to start operating at the booth level across 81 assembly constituencies.
