

The Centre for Study and Research in Tribal Rights (CSRTR) at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, successfully concluded a four-day documentary filmmaking workshop in collaboration with Team Akhra.
The workshop, which began on October 21, wrapped up today. During the workshop, students gained in-depth knowledge about various aspects of documentary filmmaking, including framing, sound preparation, and storytelling techniques. Esteemed experts Shri Meghnath, Shri Biju Toppo, and Shri Rupesh Sahu provided guidance throughout the sessions.
On the final day, students formed different teams to create four documentary films. The chosen topics included campus life, the importance of friendship, and strategies for managing academic pressure.
Experts also offered suggestions on how to enhance these films further. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Prof. Ashok R. Patil emphasized at the inaugural ceremony how students can effectively express their viewpoints through films and documentaries, highlighting how such knowledge can aid in improving their work.
CSRTR Faculty Convenor Dr. Jisu Ketan Pattanaik encouraged students to utilize these skills for better understanding and communicating issues. Faculty member Shri Ram Chandra Oraon expressed gratitude to Team Akhra for introducing students to this new medium and explaining the techniques behind filmmaking.
On the final day, students also had the opportunity to pose questions, which Team Akhra addressed. Throughout the workshop, students viewed several outstanding documentaries produced by Team Akhra, further enriching their understanding of the fundamental principles of film production.
