In its first administrative decision, the Hemant Soren govt has made a new appointment for the position of DC in the Ranchi district. 

Manjunath Bhajantri, who previously served as the chief executive officer of Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society, who was transferred to the post of Ranchi DC only to be withheld by the Election Commission was posted as DC Ranchi. 

According to an official notification, the EC-appointed DC, Ranchi, Varun Ranjan was posted as Managing Director, Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation.
