The Jharkhand High Court has ordered the issuance of a stay on the release of the final merit list for the JSSC CGL examination.
This decision comes amidst widespread allegations of paper leaks and irregularities in the recruitment process.
While the initial result and the list of candidates selected for Document Verification (DV) were released, and the DV process commenced on December 16, the court's intervention has put a temporary halt to the finalization of the selection process.
It is crucial to note that the High Court's order specifically targets the release of the final merit list. The ongoing DV process will continue as planned. Candidates who have been shortlisted for DV are advised to appear for the verification process as per the scheduled dates.
The DV process is being conducted at the JSSC office in Kali Bagan, Namkum. Additional dates have been allocated for candidates who may miss their scheduled DV: December 26 and 27.
The JSSC CGL recruitment process has been marred by controversies, including allegations of paper leaks.
On the first day of the DV process, a group of protesters led by JLKM leader Devendranath Mahto staged a violent demonstration to disrupt the proceedings.
The protest turned unruly, leading to police intervention and the arrest of Devendranath Mahto.
