Students from National University of Study and Research in Law( NUSRL), Ranchi Win First Prize in International Arbitral Award Writing Competition two of our talented students, Intisar Aslam (IV Year) and Zainab ul Kubra (III Year), have won the First Prize in the 5th Surana & Surana-RGNUL International Arbitral Award Writing Competition, 2024.
This is a remarkable achievement as they outperformed participants from some of the best universities in India and around the world.
The competition, organized by the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) in Punjab, in collaboration with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, aims to promote excellence in the field of alternative dispute resolution.
Participants were required to draft an arbitral award based on a hypothetical legal problem. more then 72 participants from across the globe took part in this competition, which was open to students pursuing B.A. LL.B., LLM, Ph.D., M.Phil., or other law-related courses.
The deadline for submitting the draft award was October 30, 2024, and the results were announced on January. Intisar and Zainab’s exceptional work earned them a prize of INR 25,000/- as recognition for their outstanding performance.
Their achievement highlights their dedication and skill in the field of law, and the entire
NUSRL community members appear incredibly proud of their success.
This competition is a platform for students to showcase their legal writing abilities, and we congratulate Intisar and Zainab for making us proud with their remarkable accomplishment.
