A Maruti van carrying school children was damaged after a Scorpio of an IPS officer hit the van ferrying them from behind in the Dhurwa area on the outskirts of Ranchi on Friday.
The incident took place at around 10-11 am. This caused injury to the van driver and one student.
“A Scorpio allegedly hit a private school van carrying around seven children from behind that led to the injury of a student and driver of the van." said a police officer.
Luckily, all the students in the van were safe. The driver of the school van was provided with Medicare. As per the preliminary inquiry, the school van had hit a car.
This led to an altercation between the car driver and the driver of the van. Subsequently, the van driver started the van and ran at a speed.
“During this time, the van got hit by the Scorpio of the IPS officer”, said Dy. SP P. K. Mishra. However, the school van was badly damaged. All school children were safe, said the police.
