President Droupadi Murmu who inaugurated Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the BIT, Mesra on Saturday, highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence(AI). 

While addressing the august audience comprising students and academicians of the premier engineering institution - BIT, Mesra, she opined the days ahead we’re going to witness far-reaching advances in the fields of AI and machine learning. 

The change in system of technology is going to witness dramatic change. President Murmu said the Centre was taking steps to integrate AI into higher education, and it was a matter of pride that BIT, Ranchi was ahead of the curve with related courses launched in 2023. 

"Future is going to be dramatic with far-reaching advances expected in artificial intelligence, machine learning. The government of India is taking steps to integrate AI into higher education. 

Technical opportunities being created should be made available to marginalised communities too, and the great transformation being brought about should benefit all," PTI reports quotes President Murmu as saying while addressing the platinum jubilee celebrations of BIT Mesra inside its campus auditorium.
