Based on a complaint filed by the authorized team of Tata Motors India, the police conducted raids at 4 locations in Howrah, West Bengal. 

Acting on the orders of the Superintendent of Police, Howrah, West Bengal, Mr. Subimal Paul, the team of Sub-Inspector Azizul of Bagnan Police Station carried out the operation. 

During the raid, thousands of liters of Counterfeit Tata DEF Urea etc. were seized. The accused identified as Arjel Ali, age - 57 years, from Chalantika Tiffin Stall, Rajesh Molla, age - 19 years, from RK Coffeehouse, Rajesh Molla, age - 19 years, from Babu Automobile and Gulzar Molla, age 47 years, have been arrested in connection with the Counterfeit Tata DEF Urea case. 

The police have registered a case under FIR number 107/2025 and filed charges under sections 318 (4), 345 (3), 347 of the BNS Act, 2023, sections 63, 65 of the Copyright Act, 1957 and section 104 of the Trademarks Act, 1999. The police are further investigating the matter.
