In a sudden move, the Hemant Soren government’s proposal to appoint ex Chief Secretary, L Khiangte as chairman of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission was approved by the Governor Santosh Gangwar. 

Also, Governor Santosh Gangwar administered oath of office as Chairman of the JPSC inside the Raj Bhawan in Ranchi on Thursday( February 27,2025). 

Governor Gangwar has expressed hope that L Khiangte’s appointment as chairman of JPSC will expedite the process to fill up vacant posts in the government. 

Notable, L Khiangte, a 1988 batch IAS officer, was appointed by Hemant Soren government as Chief Secretary of the state on December 6, 2023.
