BJP leader Sita Soren has survived an attempt to kill her. Her former Personal Assistant Devashish Ghosh ‘tried’ to shoot her down with his pistol. However, her bodyguards and police present at the site of the crime caught him and prevented him from opening fire, said the police. 

Police have recovered two pistols from possession of Ghosh. Later, on the complaint of Sita Soren, he was arrested and registered a case of an attempt to murder her. 

According to the police, Sita Soren, daughter-in-law of Rajya Sabha MP and JMM Supremo, Shibu Soren, was attending a marriage function in Sarayedela in the Dhanbad district where the crime incident occurred.
