Ravi Shankar Shukla, Deputy Commissioner, Seraikella, has been conferred the PM Award for Excellence, 2024 in the category Aspirational Block Programme by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of Civil Services Day, held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi today.

Shukla is a 2012 batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre. On July 28, 2023, Ravi Shankar Shukla took over charge as the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Saraikela-Kharsawan district from his outgoing counterpart, Arava Rajkamal.

The Award has been conferred in recognition of the successful implementation of initiatives in the Gamharia block of district Seraikella-Kharsawan under the Aspirational Block Programme and remarkable performance in terms of key indicators of focus areas.
