Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan was on Wednesday (July 23, 2025) sworn in as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

He was administered the oath of office by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at a function in the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi.

Tarlok Singh Chauhan (born 9 January 1964) was a Judge of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. He also served as the Acting Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.On 26 May 2025, the Supreme Court collegium recommended his appointment as chief justice of Jharkhand High Court.
