The UP police SIT is learnt to have arrested Chotu Singh last night( August-6-7)on the basis of inputs that he was there to commit a major crime.

Acting promptly on the tip off, a team of SIT led by Inspector , J.P.Rai encircled him in Shankarghard in Prayagraj.

“When we tried to nab him, he opened fire from his AK-47 rifle and 9 MM pistol.In response, we fired and arrested him in injured state”, said a senior SIT officer of UP police on Thursday(August 7,2025) afternoon.

The injured Chotu Singh is in a critical state, added the same SIT officer.
