Two separate improvised explosive device (IED) blasts triggered by Naxals in Jharkhand, have left three CRPF personnel, including an officer,injured, police said on Saturday morning.
“ We have used UAV( read Drones) to monitor and keep vigil over Naxals in Saranda forest areas”, said a senior police officer of West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand.
Two separate IED blasts took place in Saranda forest. One, was reported from a place under Manoharpur police station in West Singhbhum district on Thursday evening in retaliation of the ongoing anti- Naxal operation, said West Singhbhum SP,Amit Renu.
The injured CRPF personnel of F/60 Battalion were - Inspector Koshal Kumar Mishra(58), Sub-Inspector Ramchandra Gagoi and Head Constable Laskar. They were airlifted and brought and admitted in a hospital in Ranchi on Friday night, it is learnt.
The banned outfit- CPI( Maoist) is observing “Resistance Week” in protest against the anti - Naxal operation being carried out by the Modi government and central para military forces resulting in “ encounter killings” of their leaders.
Another IED blast took place in Ratamati falling under Chotanagra police station. “ This blast demolished a Pulia( small bridge).
The security forces have deployed Drones to keep vigil over the Naxals. Also the sounds of several rounds of firing were heard by villagers in the area.
