The film ‘Angen',showcasing the richness of Santhali language, culture, and storytelling on the national stage, has won the 72nd National Film Award. 

Angen was directed by Ravi Raj Murmu. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren has extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Ravi Raj Murmu for directing the Santhali film "Angen".

Murmu has received the 72nd National Film Award for Best Debut Film Director.

Congratulating the young filmmaker, the Chief Minister said:

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Shri Ravi Raj Murmu on this remarkable achievement. Winning the prestigious National Film Award is not only a personal milestone for him but also a matter of immense pride for the people of Jharkhand and the entire Santhali speaking people . Through 'Angen', he has showcased the richness of Santhali language, culture, and storytelling on the national stage."

The Chief Minister stated that this honour reflects the immense creative talent emerging from Jharkhand and reinforces the State's growing identity as a vibrant centre of indigenous art, culture, and cinema.

He expressed confidence that Ravi Raj Murmu's achievement would inspire young filmmakers and artists across Jharkhand to preserve and promote the State's rich cultural heritage through meaningful cinema.

Shri Hemant Soren further wished Ravi Raj Murmu continued success in his future creative endeavours and expressed hope that he would continue to bring laurels to Jharkhand and the nation through his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema
