The traffic along Dumri Bihar-Dania Railway station under Dhanbad Railway Division remained paralysed for hours following a series of Improvised Explosive Devise(IED) blasts carried out by Naxals this morning.One CRPF jawan was injured.

"The blasts were carried to damage the railway tracks and cause harm to security forces",said a senior police officer adding that the incident took place at around 7 am on Tuesday.

While search operation was still on,the police said the Naxals had carried 31 ID blasts.Subsequently,the police claimed that 'encounter' continued between the Naxals and security forces for over an hour and the traffic along this track remained paralysed for over eight hours.

Police claimed that nearly 300 rounds of firing took place in the encounter between the Naxals and security forces.In all,Naxals had carried as many as 31 ID blasts,said the police along the tracks. 

Further the police claimed that the security forces had seized two live 'Pressure Bombs'.The blasts took place near Poll Number 58/8_10 lying in between Dumri Bihar and Dania railway stations,said the police.
