With an aim to organise Shravani Mela at Baidyanath Dham,Deoghar,the state government has decided not to entertain and provide exclusive service to VVIPs.

In consequence,no VVIP or VIP will be entertained by the district administration in Deoghar during the Shravani Mela this year,said a communique issued by the state government today.

Baba Baidyanath Dham,one of the twelve Jyortirlingas and the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva,is the site where lakhs of devotees from India and abroad visit the temple,especially during the Shravani Mela period(July-August)every year.

"In view of the above,it is requested that recommendation/requisition for making arrangement for VIP or out of turn Darshan at Baba Baidyanath Mandir should not be sent to the state government or directly to the district administration,Deoghar".

This was stated by  Vijay Kumar Manjani,Joint Secretary,Cabinet Secretariat,Govt of Jharkhand,in his letter dated May 29,2017, to the state Cabinet Secretary,Chief Secretary and Registrar General,Supreme Court,New Delhi and Ragistrar General,all High Courts.
