Chief Minister Raghubar Das invited the investors of the agriculture sector to Global Agriculture and Food Summit (November 29-30, 2018) in Ranchi. He was in the meeting of stakeholders at Hotel Imperial Auditorium in New Delhi. He said that Jharkhand is the most favorable state for investment. There is huge potential for investment in the field of food processing industry, horticulture, floriculture, dairy; fisheries etc. in Jharkhand. Since the Global Investors Summit in 2017, 4 Ground Breaking Programs have been conducted. Through which more than 62,000 people have been given employment. 17 lakh women have been given employment through 1 lakh 51 thousand Sakhi Mandal. 14 lakh youth have been given an opportunity of self-employment through Mudra Scheme.

The Chief Minister said that we are focusing on the possibilities of industry in all sectors including agriculture and IT. This is the reason why the global summit on agriculture will be organized. Our goal is to double the income of farmers, rural development etc. The emphasis is on the single window system. He said that the number of MoUs that were signed in the field of food processing in the year 2017, 89 of them has been implemented. Currently, 212 food processing units are in operation in Jharkhand. On November 29, the foundation stone for 50 more food processing units will be laid. This era is of organic farming in the field of agriculture.

Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Industry Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, Agriculture Secretary, Puja Singhal also invited investors and emphasized on the possibilities of Food Processing Unit in Jharkhand. The investors who have invested in Jharkhand are Agarwal of Baba RN, Rakesh Sharma of HR Food, Pradeep Sahay of Safal. They also said that Jharkhand is the most favorable state of the country for the industries. Mohan Saxena, Vinod Goyal, Simi Mehta, Abhay Kumar and others also gave suggestion and shared their experience in Stakeholder Meet. 

 

After the meeting, Chief Minister Raghubar Das had one-to-one talks with senior officials and offered them every possible help to invest in Jharkhand. The meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Randhir Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Development Commissioner DK Tiwari, Principal Secretary Rural Development Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Sthanik Commissioner M.R. Meena, Industries Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey, Agriculture Secretary Puja Singhal, President and COO of Tafe & Tractor's T. R. Kesavan and others.
