The second Jharkhand International Film Festival will be inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajvardhan Singh in Ranchi on February 1, 2019.                                

The Chairman of the organising committee Rishi Prakash Mishra led team met Mr Singh and informed him in detail about the event. "We are glad to receive his approval", said Mishra. Even Film Directorate of India has approved the event, he added.

Also Ms Reuma Mantzur, Cultural Attache at the Embassy of Israel has accepted the invitation as focus country JIFF 2019.
