JMM President Shibu Soren and his wife Roopi Soren blessed their son Hemant inside their official residence in Ranchi on Monday.

They blessed him after Chief Ministerial candidate Hemant Soren, ex-CM and Acting President of the Opposition party JMM, bowed and touched their feet before going to Santhal Pargana from Jharkhand capital this morning.

Hemant, who was defeated by BJP's Louis Marandi in Dumka in 2014 is going to file nomination papers from two constituencies- Dumka and Barhet in Santhal Pargana.

Ahead of the Assembly polls taking place in five phases of which one phase was already conducted peacefully on November 30, the JMM and two other opposition parties - Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal had formed a pre-poll alliance against the ruling BJP led by Chief Minister Raghubar Das.
