Though not a single case of the Coronavirus(COVID-19)has been registered in the state till date,politicians sought discussion on this epidemic on floor of the Jharkhand Assembly on Monday.

Some MLAs sought closure of colleges and coaching institutes.The MLA from Porayahart Pradeep Yadav who is out of jail on bail sought medical check up of Chinese nationals.They were associated with power project implementation being carried the Adani -Group controlled Chinese company in Godda.

The staff of the Chinese company were from China.They were busy constructing thermal power plant there.Before the Adani group acquired land and started implementing the project,Yadav led an anti-land acquisition agitation and was booked by the police in 2018.

When the BJP government was in the Opposition,Apparently,Yadav,who had won the Assembly seat on ex CM Babulal Marandi led Jharkhand Vikas Morcha ticket only to change gear and join the Congress,an ally of the ruling coalition led by CM Hemant Soren,seems to be fanning anti -Adani air.

"His demand for medical check up of Chinese staff of the company deployed by the Adani group is part of the same excercise of Yadav",thinks a neutral observer.

The Coronavirus issue was raised by the opposition BJP.Yadav joined the debate by raising the above question.Response of the CM Hemant Soren is awaited.
