Chief Minister Hemant Soren, taking cognizance of the news on 200 girls of Jharkhand being beaten up and subjected to forced labour at a garment factory in Tamil Nadu at the time of lockdown, directed the Resident Commissioner of Jharkhand, Delhi to take action in this regard. 

The Resident Commissioner got in touch with the officials of the Tamil Nadu government and after discussion action has been taken. 

He informed that necessary action has been taken on this and all the girls are safe now. They have also been provided with food and accommodation.
