Chief Minister Hemant Soren has approved the proposal of the Departmental Establishment Committee for the appointment/posting of 52 candidates recommended by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission for direct appointment to the post of Assistant Professors in various medical colleges of the state. 

The posting of all newly appointed assistant professors has been done proportionately against the vacancies available in the new medical colleges established in Palamu, Dumka and Hazaribagh and MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur and PMCH Medical College, Dhanbad. 

Out of 52 candidates recommended for the post of Assistant Professors in Medical Colleges, 13 are women.
