The state government is geared up to run Special Rapid Antigen Testing Drive (SRATD) in all the districts of Jharkhand.

The aim is to identify the patients of Covid-19. The state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren has appealed to all the people the state to cooperate in this campaign by voluntarily visiting the designated centers and get checkup done.

This is necessary for any person who has symptoms related to Covid-19 or has come in contact with an infected person.

In view of the rapid increase in the number of patients infected with Covid-19 in some districts of Jharkhand, SRATD was conducted in Ranchi, East Singhbhum, Palamu and Dhanbad by the Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Committee on 17th and 18th August. 

In these two days, a total of 32,090 test samples were collected in the above four districts in which a total of 995 persons were found Covid-19 positive and the average positivity rate was 3.1%.
