Why? The CBI Special Court is slated to deliver judgment on the Babri Mosque demolition case on September 30

The future of top BJP leaders is dependent on the court's verdict on the famous Babri Masjid demolition case.

As it is, less than a fortnight later this month,a CBI Special Court in Lucknow is slated to pronounce its judgment on this case on September 30.

Already, Judge SK Yadav has directed all accused to remain present in the court on the day of judgment.

Prominent among the 32 accused are former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and BJP leaders M M Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti and Vinay Katiyar.

CBI counsel Lalit Singh's arguments of the defence and prosecution had concluded on September 1. Now, the special judge has reportedly 'started writing the judgment.'

If court records are to be believed, the CBI had produced 351 witnesses and about 600 documentary evidence before the court. The Babri mosque in Ayodhya was demolished by karsevaks on December 6, 1992.
