That water scarcity prompts many people to walk long distances to fetch it every day is an old story.The latest is the move to solve this problem.

Near Jamshedpur,Tata steel has installed water extraction facilities along with overhead tanks in four villages of Boram block.

This is meant to benefit 259 households at Mirjadih, Haludbani, Lailum and Nutandih villages.

Biren Bhuta, Chief, Corporate Sustainability Services, Tata Steel,today dedicated the deep bore well facilities to the residents of these villages.

Respective Zilla Parishads, Mukhiyas, Ward Members, Mahila Samities and villagers attended the programme.
