*Newly Built Guest House, Patratu- venue of the Khadi Handicraft Show for G20 representatives

Patratu will host the India khadi handicraft Show which will feature a buyer-seller meet with a focus on G20 countries, it is learnt.

The two-day show organized by the state government in league with its run organization called Jharkhand Silk Textile & Handicraft Corporation Ltd will commence on March 2-3.

The G-20 summit is to be held on the above dates in which eminent personalities will come to Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand, and stay at the Radisson Blue hotel.

Notably, India has assumed the Presidency of the G20, a global forum of major economies of China, Germany, France, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Since this is a historic opportunity, the Government of India led by PM Narendra Modi has planned to showcase India’s vibrant culture and rich heritage, along with its achievements and capabilities.

With an aim to further the multi-year agenda of the G20 Employment Working Group, the following priority areas have been identified for its consideration: Addressing Global Skill Gaps; Gig and Platform Economy and Social Protection; and Sustainable Financing of Social Security.

To host the two-day G20 meeting, the state government - police and district administration in Ramgarh and Ranchi have been holding meetings continuously and launched groundwork regarding cleanliness, smoothening roads, beautifying electric polls and installing lights in the city and 30 km long highway linking Ranchi with Patratu.

The newly built Guest House for VIPs in Patratu is being furnished. Its garden has been covered by green grass gathered from Kolkata its walls are being painted. At the same time, electric wires will be fixed and a vertical garden will be created to provide a make-shift platform for the India khadi handicraft Show for participants of G20.

Also, Jharkhand’s art culture is planned to be shown through painting on the airport boundary from the airport to Birsa Chowk. 

All along the 40 km long highway from the Ranchi airport to Radisson Blu and from Radisson Blu hotel to Patratu New Guest House( whose name is still not notified by the state government), apart from beautification work, representatives of G20 countries will be provided security according to their own grade varying between SPG, Z+(Highest Level), Z, Y+, and X. 

With this, the venue of the India khadi handicraft Show at the newly built guest house in Patratu will be completely transformed into a crime-free cum Cantonment zone
