Coming November 2023 will witness two Hindu festivals-Diwali and Chhath. However, since both these festivals fall on Sundays (November 12 and November 19), the number of holidays for school students and teachers in Ranchi is going to be less.

Aware of the fact that Chhath is on Kartik Shukla Shashti, the sixth day of the month of Kartik- the date of Chhath Puja in 2023 is Sunday, November 19, the private school management has listed less than ten days as holidays in November 2023.

For instance, the Ranchi-based DPS, seven days were notified holidays including November 12 for Diwali, November 15 for Birsa Munda Jayanti November 20 for Chhath, and Gurunanak Jayanti on November 27.

In addition, four Sunday holidays. Gurunanak Higher Secondary School, Ranchi, has notified 11 holidays in November 2023.

This is mainly because in addition to above listed holidays notified by DPS, Gurugovind Singh school provides four holidays for Gurunanak Jayanti.
