While the world is celebrating all the birth day of famous Urdu poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal as World Urdu Day today (9 November),celebration is going on in Jharkhand also. 

At Urdu library, a group of Urdu speaking people participated in a debate recalling Urdu poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. 

Other than Muslim community, Urdu is spoken by many Hindus and Sikhs. “ Urdu words mesmerizes us and get all of us dying to know it’s meaning. 

I am sure we all have experienced this at least once in our life. Urdu brings out the hidden shaayar in most of us. There is magic in this language”, said Danish Akhter, a teacher. 

Rafi Hussain, a businessman, appears proud to say that the sweetness of the Urdu language is the strong testimony for the reasons why this language is the most beautiful language. “Urdu boasts of some of the most soulful words that you will ever hear.

And one can’t help but be dazzled by the language. Looking for a perfect to ask your better half? Urdu is the language!” The purpose of celebrating this World Urdu day is to highlight the popularity of Urdu language and to appreciate its importance. 

Sadly, in the state of Jharkhand, the number of Urdu teachers stands at 689. “ This is causing problem to students who want to learn this over 1000 years old language, cribs Mohammed Gulam, a student of Jamia Miliya college. 

Inquiry revealed that the number of sanctioned post of Urdu teachers is 4401.This means there are vacant post of 3712 Urdu teachers in Jharkhand.
