The Ranchi Central Jail’s jailor Naseem Khan, who was interrogated by the ED on charges of conspiracy to support under-trial prisoners facing charges of money laundering, has been transferred and posted as Jailor in Medninagar Central jail in Daltongunj.  

Khan is among five jailers who were transferred. He will be replaced at Ranchi Central Jail by Pramod Kumar, jailer of Central jail, Giridih. 

Three other jailers transferred by the state jail department in Jharkhand were : 

1. Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Jailer of Jamshedpur Central jail, has been transferred to Garhwa jail;

2. Ramashanker Prasad, Khunti jail goes to Dumka Central Jail;

3. Dharmshila Devi, Jailer, Medninagar Central Jail posted at Jamshedpur Central Jail.
