Inquiry revealed that a nearly-year-old tigress died due to kidney disease at Ranchi's Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park, Ranchi. 

The tigress named Saraswati who was ailing for over a week died on Sunday morning. The post-mortem was conducted by a team of veterinary doctors from Veterinary College, Kanke, Dr.MK Gupta and Dr.Sanjit Kumar and Dr. 

Om Prakash Sahu of Birsa Munda Zoo revealed that the cause of Tigress Saraswati’s death was kidney disease. Saraswati, born inside Birsa Munda Zoo, was buried there. 

“Despite treatment, the tigress, Saraswati, could not survive and died on Sunday,” said Jabbar Singh, Director of Birsa Zoo.
