Ex CM Hemant Soren is going to be lodged in judicial custody inside Jharkhand Civil Services Officers Institute, popularly known as IAS club, in Ranchi. 

JCSOI,notified as camp jail by the state government, has air conditioned suite with an AC lounge, conference hall and restaurant around a green garden with a pond. 

After the Special (PMLA) court sent him into judicial custody in the Ranchi land scam. Hemant Soren is headed towards JCSOI. Today, the ED produced him in court after his 13-day remand concluded.The court issued order to send him into judicial custody. 

The ED had arrested Soren on January 31 for illegally “acquiring” and holding it “ under his possession” a plot of 8.5 acres of land in Ranchi.The ED had submitted WhatsApp chats between him and Binod Singh, a businessman cum architect. 

After ED decided not to submit any further evidence and sought further remand, the court ordered to send Soren into judicial custody. 

As an accused Soren was sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail, Ranchi. From there, he can be sent to JCSOI on “ security considerations.” 

Notably, the state government has declared the IAS Club at Deendayal Nagar as a camp jail where he will be lodged.
