At a time when the disgruntled Congress MLAs were in Delhi, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren met national president Mallikarjun Kharge. 

Both leaders asserted there was no 'threat' to the state's JMM-Congress-RJD coalition government. The Congress described Sunday's meeting as ‘courtesy call’.

This political meet comes when a dozen legislators of the Congress party's state unit have expressed ‘discontent’ with the recent cabinet expansion of the Champai Soren government – which includes the Congress – over alleged exclusion of new faces from the cabinet.  

Jharkhand is governed by a coalition of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). 

 Champaign Soren, who took office recently, is a senior JMM member, and succeeded arrested party leader Hemant Soren as chief minister. All disgruntled Congress MLAs were tight lipped. 

They are left with two possibilities. One, get posts of state run government bodies. Two, act in accordance with their decision in the emerging pro - Modi electoral scene.
